E-invoicing mandate in Romania: RO e-Factura
Since Jan 1, 2024, businesses in Romania must submit every invoice to other businesses through the state system RO e-Factura. Since Jan 1, 2025, this also applies to invoices to consumers.

Before that, the deadline was 5 calendar days. The same amendment extends the mandate to invoices to businesses that are only registered for VAT in Romania.
