Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Without an account you get 10 free credits a day per IP address. A free account adds 500 credits a month and an API key, and needs no card.

What is a credit?

A credit is one unit of metered usage. The cost table on this page lists the cost of every endpoint. The API reference repeats it for each operation. Rejected and failed calls cost nothing. Your monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You still get 10 free credits a day. Beyond that, requests return HTTP 402 until your credits reset or you upgrade.

How do payments work?

Polar Software, Inc. processes payments as merchant of record and authorized reseller. Polar also handles VAT and sales tax. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can change or cancel your plan anytime on the billing page. Refunds go through Polar, as described in the Terms.
