E-invoicing mandate in Italy: SdI and FatturaPA
In Italy, e-invoices to businesses and to consumers have been mandatory since Jan 1, 2019. Every invoice travels as a FatturaPA file through the state platform SdI.

The SdI checks every invoice before it delivers it to the recipient.
What invowerk does here
invowerk does not check the FatturaPA format. For invoices in Italy, the check by the SdI is what counts. invowerk checks formats based on EN 16931, that is XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X and Peppol BIS.
