E-invoicing mandate in Belgium: Peppol since 2026
Since Jan 1, 2026, businesses in Belgium exchange invoices with each other as structured e-invoices. The standard is the Peppol BIS format over the Peppol network.

Since the grace period ended, violations can be fined up to €5,000. Invoices to consumers are not covered by the mandate.
