VAT amount differs from the exact computation (IW-STEUERBETRAG-TOLERANZ)
- Standard: invowerk
- Severity: warning
- Affected fields: BT-116, BT-117, BT-119
This is a hint from invowerk, not a validation rule.
Meaning
The VAT amount of a category (BT-117) differs by 0.01 to 1.00 from taxable amount times rate, rounded half up. The rule allows this tolerance (BR-CO-17), in UBL only below 1.00. The hint does not change the result.
Possible causes
- The tax was rounded per line and then added up.
- The taxable amount was changed without recomputing the tax.
- The software truncates instead of rounding half up.
How to fix it
- Let your invoicing software compute the tax once per category on the taxable amount.
- Compute BT-117 as BT-116 × BT-119 / 100, rounded half up to two decimals, and update BT-110, BT-112 and BT-115.
