SEPA creditor identifier check digits or structure wrong (IW-GLAEUBIGER-ID)
- Standard: invowerk
- Severity: warning
- Affected fields: BT-90
This is a hint from invowerk, not a validation rule.
Meaning
The SEPA creditor identifier (BT-90) has wrong check digits or not the EPC structure, for example DE98ZZZ09999999999. It is assigned for direct debits, in Germany by the Deutsche Bundesbank. The hint does not change the result.
Possible causes
- Transposed or mistyped digits in the number.
- The check digits were taken from another number.
- A sample value from documentation was not replaced.
How to fix it
- In your invoicing software, compare the number with the Bundesbank letter that assigned it.
- Take BT-90 from the same master data your direct-debit mandates come from.
