Meaning

The payment due date (BT-9) is before the invoice issue date (BT-2). The rules do not compare the two dates. This is often a typo or a leftover from a template. The hint does not change the result.

Possible causes

• The due date was taken from an older invoice or template.
• Day and month were swapped.
• The issue date was changed later, the due date was not.

How to fix it

• Let your invoicing software compute the due date from the issue date and the payment terms.
• If payment has already been made, record it as the paid amount (BT-113).
